On April 11, 2013, eight people—artists, technologists, critics, collectors, and curators—gathered for dinner and conversation at A Simple Collective’s first dinner salon, where we asked “What is the current state of New Media arts in the Bay Area?”. The conversation was  animated, solid, respectful, and smart. Without definitively answering the question, the group left armed with new ideas and greater understanding. Projects began to form and a new community was galvanized… and it was fun!
