Kick-up or kick-start your art career with this invaluable basic training on professional practices for artists to protect your work’s value, communicate with collectors & curators, and remain competitive in the art world.
Great for artists at any point in their career, this 3-session workshop is a basic training course on professional practices for visual artists to gain confidence, be prepared, and maintain a sustainable and competitive art career. Led by A Simple Collective’s Founder/Director, Rhiannon MacFadyen, attendees will leave with real-world information and resources to kick-start, or kick-up, your professional practices.
Session 1: Protect the value of your work: Including tracking inventory, loans and consignments, pricing, and documentation
Session 2: Effectively communicate with collectors and curators: Including outreach & mailing lists; letters, resumes, and statements; being prepared
Session 3: Remain competitive in the art world: Including marketing tool kits, websites and emails, images, and networking
Note: Sessions are held on consecutive Tuesday nights, from 6pm to 7:30 or 8pm.
